Little Athletics centres depend on valued community volunteers and have opportunities to suit varying commitment capabilities.
Centre Volunteers
Are the people who help make a Little Athletics centre tick. Whether your impact is in retrieving throws equipment, raking the sandpit, helping to run an event, or perhaps even chipping in with the canteen.
Age Managers
Are committed each week to supporting a group of children in getting around to all of their athletics events. Age Managers also play a role in encouraging children to have fun and try their personal best.

Event Fact Sheets
Aimed at providing Centre volunteers with the essential knowledge for helping at an event at the local centre. The fact sheets are a suitable resource for people with little or no knowledge of the sport and covers:

basic instruction on how to do the event
basic rules
basic officiating procedures
safety considerations
handy tips for conducting the event at centre level

A series of videos, based on the LANSW Event Fact Sheets, aimed to assist age managers and volunteer helpers when conducting events at the local centre. Don’t be put off by the term “coaching”. This is a GREAT course for Little Athletics Age Managers!
The Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills (ITLAS) is designed to help participants become better placed to assist children to perform basic athletics skills.
