Centre Handbook

Centre Handbooks are a useful tool for Centres to make information available to their members. 

The ideal time to release this handbook is at registration time, so that everyone can immediately gain a knowledge of the Centre and its proposed activities during the season. 

Information in this booklet may include the following:- 

  • Details of the Centre Committee and how they may be contacted. 

  • A resume of the duties of each Centre Committee Officer. 

  • Diary of events for the coming season. 

  • Financial details relating to the Centre. 

  • List of Centre records and other achievements of note in the previous and other seasons. 

  • Code of behaviour of Little Athletics. 

  • Details of trophy evenings, special visits, coaching clinics, Association programs, etc. 

  • Centre selection criteria and specific Centre rules. 

Additional information can be included, keep in mind that the aim of the book is to produce a better understanding of Little Athletics and develop confidence in your members in the Centre.

The Centre Programming Guide aims to help Little Athletics Centres, to produce the most beneficial personalised Competition Program. It helps Centres consider what to do at the start of a session, at Centre competitions and which events schedule either 2 or 3 week program, would benefit the Centre the most based on the Centres participation numbers and available events.

Centre Coaching Program

- How to Develop an Effective Centre Coaching Program.

This guide aims to assist Little Athletics Centres to improve their Centre coaching program by:

  • Encouraging Centres to take a considered, organised, long term approach to Centre coaching

  • Providing a 5-step approach to long-term Centre coach development

  • Identifying ways in which centres can more successfully attract and retain coaches

  • Providing various models on which Centres can base their organisation of Centre coaching

  • Providing a list of hints for organising Centre coaching.
